About

Who We Are
Carpenter Collective is led by partners, Jessica and Tad Carpenter. The pair have been collaborating together since the day they met in design school over a dozen years ago. Since then, they’ve earned a national reputation for creating powerful brand experiences and unique visual storytelling with a whimsical wink.
Our Process
Carpenter Collective strives to create brand experiences that emotionally engage and connect with consumers. Our approach is strategic, honest and artistic.
Brand Strategy
The strongest brand strategies are built through collaboration between the client and design team. Through a series of strategic exercises, we gain a deeper understanding of your business, uncover insights about your brand, define your desired market position, identify your target audience, and establish your core values and brand attributes. The result is a clear strategic foundation that serves as a roadmap for every design decision moving forward.
For rebranding projects, we also conduct a Brand Audit to evaluate existing brand assets, identify what’s working and what isn’t, and define brand equity worth preserving.
Naming
If a brand name has not yet been established, we will develop an agreed-upon number of naming options based on the developed brand strategy. Each recommended name will include a preliminary online trademark screening.
Once a preferred name is selected, we recommend conducting registering the name through a qualified trademark attorney. As the final name is narrowed, we can also provide guidance on domain availability and social media handles to help ensure a cohesive digital presence.
Concepts
We typically develop 2-3 distinct design concepts for each project. For a brand identity project, each concept is a comprehensive visual system that explores logo development, typography, color palette, supporting patterns, illustration, iconography and other key brand elements.
To showcase how each identity comes to life, we apply the concepts across a selection of relevant brand touchpoints—such as packaging, signage, merchandise or digital applications.
IMPLEMENTATION
Once a concept is selected, we refine and expand the identity across all agreed-upon deliverables. We ensure that every brand touchpoint works together to create a cohesive, memorable and impactful brand experience.
PRODUCTION
After the approval of all design applications, we will define and finalize fabrication specifications. Our team can assist with sourcing qualified vendors, obtaining fabrication estimates and then releasing all final files to approved vendors.
CONSTRUCTION ADMIN
Following the release of final files, we continue working closely with selected vendors to ensure every application is produced and installed to the highest standards and on schedule. Our involvement may include reviewing samples and proofs, conducting site visits and press checks, and providing ongoing coordination throughout production to ensure the final execution remains true to the design vision.
